Kiahan (gaiters, leggings)These are of the same style as those worn by ordinary travellers. Linen is the best material, but cotton cloth may be used, lined or unlined according to season, but unlined ones are always preferable. The inner cords must be shorter than the outer ones, and it is advisable to tie the cords always on the inner side of the legs instead of on the front or outer part, otherwise there will be great discomfort when the stiff suneate (shinguards) are put on over the kiahan. |
