Kobakama (short trousers)

This garment is identical with the kaso-shitatare of the olden time, and is therefore now called kesho-bakama. There are a few different styles, generally a little narrower then ordinary hakama, and of such a length as will reach about 4 or 5 inches below the knees. In putting them on begin with the left leg, and then tie in succession the back ones and the front ones, tying both pair in the front.
