Naga-tenugui (Long Towel)

Of white cotton cloth about 5 feet long, carried attached to the sword-scabbard. It is used for such purposes as bandaging wounds, carrying provisions, wrapping up a bow or musket, or as a turban, a tasuki for girdling up the sleeves, or in emergency as a substitute sashimono.
